Format/Course: 4-Man 1-Gross/2-Net Stableford | Greenback Entry Fees: $40 per team; pay in cash after round. Stableford Scoring: The best-gross ball and two best-net balls on each hole will combine for the team's score on that hole. Balls CAN be counted more than once per hole.The object of a Stableford game is to earn as many points as possible. Points will be awared for both gross and net scores as follows: Bogey - 1 point | Par - 2 points | Birdie - 4 points | Eagle - 8 points | Albatross - 12 points Tees: By default, play will be from the White Tees. Members whose age and handicap index combine to equal at least 105 may play the Red Tees. Modified Stableford Scoring – Unlike in a stroke play format, the goal in a stableford format is to get a higher score for the round. Since the course cannont be rated for handicaps, only gross scores will be used. However, in an effort to help compensate for net scoring, players will receive points for their handicap index, rounded to the nearest whole number. For example, a 12.6 HI would receive an additional 13 points to be added to his final point total for the day’s round. Points will be awarded for scores of bogey or better on each hole, as follows: Bogey – 3 points | Par – 5 points | Birdie – 10 points | Ace – 20 points Tees – Play will be over 18-holes, using different teeboxes on the second time around for every hole. Scorecards will denote when each teebox will be used. Prizes – Will be awarded to the top Stableford scores and to all deuces. |
